Thank you for your interest in becoming a Referee for ESA!   We are full for the upcoming seasons for 2024 but are taking a waitlist - please see the form to the right.  

We have opportunities to referee including a Jr Referee program for 11 and older and certified referee program for Ages 13 and older.  
Referees make good money per game (up to $25.00) and have the flexibility to choose the games they wish to work via Stack Officials site.

This policy has been developed to address the growing (and unfortunate) trend of referee abuse in youth sports, in general, and youth soccer, in particular.  Our policy, as set forth in the document below, is simple: Any physical or verbal abuse of referees is as unacceptable as physical or verbal abuse of players.  It is never acceptable for spectators to criticize referees, verbally or otherwise, at an ESC event.

Mark Your Calendars:

1.  Classroom Training:  May 1st or 2nd (you pick 1 date).  7-8:30pm.  Edina Community Center Room 348

2.  On Field Training (for new and returners):  Sunday, May 5th.  3-5pm at Strachauer Field.  Please bring $25.00 to receive your referee uniform kit.
