Thank you for your interest in becoming a Referee for ESA!   We are full for the upcoming seasons for 2024 but are taking a waitlist - please see the form to the right.  

We have opportunities to referee including a Jr Referee program for 11 and older and certified referee program for Ages 13 and older.  
Referees make good money per game (up to $25.00) and have the flexibility to choose the games they wish to work via Stack Officials site.

This policy has been developed to address the growing (and unfortunate) trend of referee abuse in youth sports, in general, and youth soccer, in particular.  Our policy, as set forth in the document below, is simple: Any physical or verbal abuse of referees is as unacceptable as physical or verbal abuse of players.  It is never acceptable for spectators to criticize referees, verbally or otherwise, at an ESA event.

Please contact referee Trainer/Mentor Bill Garner if you would like to receive a game assessment or take part in a referee shadowing session.  Bill will referee a match alongside you while advising on “Best Practice” player management and foul recognition.  Bill will also review pre and post game duties.  You will be paid your full game fee.
